BDD MX1616 Dual H-Bridge DC Motor Driver Module – Technical Specifications:
Driver Type – Dual H-Bridge DC Motor Driver
Logic Supply Voltage – 3.3V to 5V
Motor Supply Voltage – 4.5V to 36V DC
Output Current per Channel – Up to 1.5A (Peak ~2A)
Channels – 2 (Independent Direction & Speed Control)
Control Interface – PWM + Direction Logic Pins
Applications – Robotics, RC Vehicles, Conveyor Systems, Arduino/ESP32 Motor Control
1: This module lets a microcontroller control two DC motors independently — both speed (via PWM) and direction (via logic pins) — without the GPIO pins ever carrying the motor's actual current.
2: Power the module from two separate supplies where possible: logic voltage (3.3V/5V) to the logic VCC pin, and motor voltage (matching your motor's rating) to the motor power input — sharing a common ground between both.
3: Each channel typically uses two direction control pins and one PWM input — setting both direction pins LOW or HIGH together brakes the motor, while opposite states set forward or reverse, and PWM duty cycle controls speed.
4: Stay within the rated continuous current per channel (around 1.5A) — stalled motors draw significantly more current than free-running ones and can overheat the driver if the stall persists.
5: Add adequate ventilation or a small heatsink if running motors near the module's current limit for extended periods, as H-bridge drivers generate heat proportional to current and PWM switching losses.
