Handy Tips – Get the Most From Your Sermoon P1

1. Markerless NIR mode lets you scan large objects and even the human body with no sticker dots – perfect for quick captures where prep time matters.
2. Deep-hole scanning uses the single-line laser to reach into pipes, recesses and gaps other scanners can’t (tested to 152 mm depth in a 29 mm pipe).
3. No scanning spray needed – the blue laser captures black and shiny metal surfaces straight out the box, saving you mess and consumable cost.
4. Hot-swap your battery mid-scan so a flat cell never ends a session; keep the spare charging on its own USB-C port.
5. Full-colour texture capture means scans come out photo-realistic – ideal for digital archiving, VFX and product visualisation, not just dimensional work.
6. Standalone mode is your friend on-site – capture to the 256GB onboard storage, then transfer over Wi-Fi 7 back at the desk.
7. Export straight into your CAD pipeline – files drop neatly into reverse-engineering and inspection software like Geomagic Design X and QuickSurface.
