PLA-LW (Light Weight PLA) is a filament specially developed for aeromodelling. It uses active foaming technology to achieve lightweight, low-density PLA parts with a foaming volume ratio of 220% and a density as low as 0.54 g/cm³. The interlayer bonding is stable, and both foaming rate and strength can be controlled by adjusting the printing temperature.
Foaming makes layered patterns almost invisible
Matte and delicate surface finish
Enables lighter wing load and lower stall speed for model aircraft
Greatly improves aeromodelling performance
